Edgewood Center for Children and Families has teamed up with Rhody Co. to offer you the opportunity to easily build your own online fundraising page to collect donations for your Emerald Across the Bay 12K run on March 18, 2012.

Proceeds from the Emerald Across the Bay 12K benefit Edgewood and the more than 5,000 at-risk children and families we serve in the San Francisco Bay Area. Creating a personal fundraising page allows you to maximize your contribution and the impact you can make to those in need in our community. Children from Edgewood run a one-mile course of the race. In preparation, these children, along with staff members from Edgewood, train for this challenge. This activity, part of Edgewood’s year-long recreation program, helps the children learn to set and achieve goals, ultimately helping to raise their self-esteem. 

Setting up a fundraising page is an easy way to track your progress as you train for the Emerald Across the Bay 12K and to help those in need in our community:

1)     Use our template to create your own page. Set your goal, state your mission, and post photos.

2)     Spread the word! Send an appeal to your friends and family via email, Facebook, and Twitter.

3)     Keep posting. Alert your friends to your success.
