HEALING AT HOME WITH EDGEWOOD'S THERAPEUTIC BEHAVIORAL SERVICES
Every family knows that caring for a child with mental health issues can be a daunting and difficult task. Even with the professional help of therapists and case workers, there is always the real risk of hospitalization and loss of home placement.
At Edgewood, we know exactly how critical it is for these kids to remain in their homes where they will always have a support network. That is why our Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) team uses a community-based approach in coaching youth and their parents to achieve better behavioral health management.

COMPASSIONATE CARE ACROSS CULTURES
One of the most appealing aspects of the Bay Area is its ethnic diversity with families from all over the world. With this diverse mix of cultures also come a variety of unique mental health needs. Sometimes, these needs may be as direct as a language barrier, or as complex as a completely different set of values, beliefs, and behaviors.
Whatever background our youth come from, Edgewood strives to be a culturally competent and sensitive organization and is proud of its core values of Family, Community, Hope, and Diversity.

DONOR SPOTLIGHT: EMILIE LYNCH
We're fortunate to have a circle of supporters like Emilie and Andrew Lynch who are devoted to our mission and are true champions for the youth we serve.
As a member of the Edgewood Auxiliary and a member of our Circle of Hope (comprised of those who have given gifts of more than $1,000), Emilie is a longtime volunteer who has worked on events large and small such as the Edgewood Fair, Breakfast Clubs, and hosting holiday parties on our campus for youth to enjoy.
"I know that each time I volunteer at Edgewood, I’m making a difference,” explained Emilie.
“Everyone truly believes in what Edgewood is doing; every story comes straight from the heart.”
