TWITTER FOR GOOD VISITS EDGEWOOD

Edgewood welcomed over 40 Twitter staff for a day of volunteerism and giving back at our San Francisco Campus.

Twitter's #TwitterForGood day was a first at Edgewood with volunteers participating in a number of activities including campus beautification projects, recreational sports with Edgewood youth, and a mentoring session for teens interested in pursuing a career in hi-tech.

EDGEWOOD TAKES PART IN TRAUMA-INFORMED TRAINING PROGRAM

According to the National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention, 26 percent of children in the U.S. will witness or experience a traumatic event before they turn four. 

Trauma is a serious public health issue and understanding the root causes of stress and trauma is key in its treatment. That is why Edgewood is becoming one of the first community-based organizations in the Bay Area to participate in trauma-informed systems training

The two day event, which has been listed by BizBash as one of the top 100 events to attend in San Francisco, takes place on April 6 & 7, 2017, at the Bently Reserve.

SF Bachelors
Hundreds of bachelors gathered in San Francisco's Union Square for the 19th Annual Cocktails on Maiden Lane benefit hosted by The Bachelor's of San Francisco. This year, proceeds benefited Edgewood youth.

Cameron Johnson

San Carlos Mayor and Netflix Director of Product Innovation, Cameron Johnson, visited our Edgewood San Carlos office to learn more about the services we provide to youth and families in San Mateo County.

Matt Jaffee
Matt Jaffe, a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from the SF Bay Area put on a performance for Edgewood youth. His band performs regularly throughout the Bay Area, SoCal, and NYC, and in 2015, opened for Blues Traveler.
