CELEBRATING 165 YEARS OF EDGEWOOD

In 2016, Edgewood Center for Children and Families celebrates 165 years of transforming lives and restoring hope to children and families in the Bay Area.

Edgewood was founded in 1851 by Elizabeth Waller (think Waller street in San Francisco) to help children orphaned during the Gold Rush.

Since those wild west days, Edgewood has expanded its mission by offering nearly 30 programs and services that help children and young adults in San Francisco and San Mateo counties who are struggling with trauma, abuse, and neglect.

Enjoy a look back in time (through the link below) as we celebrate Edgewood's rich history in the community then and now!

Sadly, suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people between the ages of 10 and 24.
