INSPIRING EDGEWOOD YOUTH THROUGH MUSIC
Music has the power to positively change the course of a young person's life, particularly in the area of mental health. Studies show that for many youth and adults - music truly does have therapeutic benefits.
For Maggie*, an up-and-coming teen musician at Edgewood’s Community School, the opportunity to express her creative side has arrived thanks to the generosity of private citizens, a brand new shiny red guitar, and some TLC at Edgewood.

KINSHIP QUILTERS SHOW OFF MASTERPIECE
Recently, a group of quilters got together for a special occassion, to unveil a beautiful quilt they made - a creation of the heart six months in the making.
These women, a group of grandparents who are caring for children whose parents are not able to do so, are part of Edgewood's Kinship Caregivers Program in San Francisco which last year, served 80 Kinship caregivers and 175 Kinship youth.
Every square of the quilt represents an emotional connection that each caregiver shares with one another and their families.
