a peek into the archives

One of Edgewood’s most enduring partnerships is that with the Auxiliary. In addition to their volunteer work, Auxiliary members raise significant funds for Edgewood through the Edgewood Fair. 45 years ago, then-Auxiliary President Mrs. Bernard L. Maushardt wrote that she hoped the “Garden Fair will bring you much pleasure and enjoyment,” and over the years it certainly has.  Please join us on May 3 and 4 for the 45th Annual Edgewood Fair. thank you emerald volunteers!

We want to send a special thank you to everyone who braved the rain to support Edgewood at this year’s Emerald Across the Bay 12K. The event would not have been possible without the support of our 76 volunteers. Edgewood is a wonderful place to volunteer. As of today, Edgewood is pleased to be on the top 5 list of those being considered for the Volunteer Center’s Volunteer Choice Award. More…

edgewood garden learning center breaks ground

We recently broke ground on what is to be the Edgewood Garden Learning Center. With the Sally Gotcher Children’s Garden at its heart, the Garden will share with our children and families the therapeutic benefits of working in the soil, harvesting and preparing organic food, and learning about our natural world. We are documenting every step in this exciting process in photo albums which you can view on our website. More…

advocacy alert!

San Mateo County and San Francisco County Human Service Agencies have both proposed cuts to Edgewood Kinship. It is essential HSA continue to fully fund Edgewood Kinship so we can continue to provide support for the ongoing and critical needs of kin-caregivers and their children. Take action by alerting your San Mateo County or San Francisco County Supervisor about these devastating cuts.

meet the new edgewood mascot

Last winter, Edgewood Non-Public School began competing against sports teams from other Bay Area non-public schools. The team rallies the Edgewood community and generates school spirit and pride. Students voted on the eagle as their mascot. The Edgewood Eagle represents strength, inspires respect, and has the transformative power to soar to new heights. This month the Edgewood Eagles are taking on another opponent – hunger. More…
